Type locality: Gabon, no locality data available.
Diagnosis
Male is similar to A. gratiosa and A. inversa by (a) antehumeral stripes normally present, or thorax pruinose; (b) paraprocts longer than cerci, often longer than S10. However differs by (1) being restricted to or near forest from Uganda to W Africa; (2) Pt in Hw darker than in Fw with maturity; (3) paraprocts thick, ending in toothed ridge, more than 2x as long as cerci. Habitat description
Standing and probably often temporary waters shaded by or in open areas in (gallery) forest. Usually with emergent and often aquatic vegetation. From 0 to 1500 m above sea level, but mostly below 700.
